TENSION FABRICS FOR COMMERICAL ARCHITECTURAL APPLICATION
Choosing the right type of fabric for your use can be challenging when there are number of materials in the market with different specifications, standards and quality. Each material has its strengths and weaknesses. Some fabrics are highly durable while others offer flexibility, some are fire resistant, while others offer good impact resistance. Selection should be made based on the usage and specific requirements, Good knowledge and understanding of the fabric materials available for commercial and industrial use in the market will help you select the best fabric for your need.
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is ideal for shade structures and gives excellent protection against UV rays (up to 96 %). It does not deteriorate from chemicals, mold-resistant and Flame retardant. Base material used in fabric is polyethylene and has a lock stitch knitted pattern, the standard netting has a high water run off rate which helps to keep the area underneath the shade partially dry and the tiny holes allows hot air to escape through the roof of the structure. HDPE is widely used in dry climate areas for manufacturing shades & tensile structures.

PVC VINYL FABRIC
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coated polyester is a technically engineered synthetic fabric widely usedfor tensile membrane structures. PVC is an amorphous plastic that exhibits excellent on-site workability. It is water proof, flame retardant, highly flexible & elastic. PVC has good impact resistance, it is anti-fouling, anti-mist and prevents microbial growth, PVC fabric can be easily demounted from the structure, folded and stored for future use and that makes it an ideal fabric for temporary structures such as construction site storage tents, warehouses, inflatable structures, military and commercial tents.
Qualities that makes PVC fabric suitable for industrial use.
- Fire resistant – High ignition temperatures ( 455 degrees)
- Resistant to oil and chemicals – PVC is resistant to acid, alkali and almost all inorganic chemicals.
- Mechanically stable – PVC’s creep deformation is considerably low
- High Durability – highly resistant to oxidation by atmospheric oxygen
CANVAS TARPAULIN
Canvas is a breathable material and has many inherent qualities that make it easy to handle. Because of its tight weave, it’s easier to fold compared to vinyl fabrics and is slip-resistant however it is slightly heavier than vinyl or poly. Canvas traps are widely used to cover moisture sensitive loads like farm products as it reduces the risk of premature spoilage. Cotton Canvas Tarpaulins are made of 100% cotton and is eco-friendly, when treated will be resistant to water, mold, mildew and UV rays.
